The beautiful island of Guam is located almost directly on the equator in the Pacific Ocean. The island has a warm, tropical, and extremely humid climate and is a great destination for people who love the beach and island lifestyle.
When traveling to Guam the main tourist destination and center on the island is Tumon. Tumon is the busiest and most active village on the island of Guam with hotels, restaurants, and shopping lining both sides of the main road. Tumon is also situated along Guam's most popular beaches which make up all of Tumon Bay.
Guam is a territory of the United States and is the a major port of entry by travelers from Asian countries into the United States. You'll find many tourists on the island of Guam from Asian countries; especially from Japan, Korea, China, and the Philippines. In addition, because of the large military presence on Guam you will find many mainlanders who are stationed on Guam and make up a large majority of the population.
